Nangamso Kambi

Director & Screenwriter

Nangamso Nashua Kambi was born in a small town in the eastern Cape called Cofimvaba. While she was raised by her single mother, they moved around because of her mother's work, making it difficult for her to make or keep friends. She used her free time to read and watch films, that was when she fell in love with the medium of film and television. Nangamso is am passionate about story telling and writing. She is also hardworking, skilled, a good communicator, a fast learner and a good listener. She has a strong belief in moving African stories forward and changing how the world views Africa. Nangamso has developed the skills of screenwriting and directing, leadership and knowing how to work with people and understanding my own strength and weakness. She would really appreciate the opportunity to expand my skills in film directing and screenwriting.

Daluxolo Moloi

Visual Effects Artist

My work on the film was fantastic though with its ups and downs, though working on this film  with all its members makes it the experience worth it, as its a pleasure to work with people who are are so good at their fields and are so determined to make film as good as they can be motivational. I chose VFX as I find the discipline engaging and wanted to not only learnt but get experience and be more proficient in it, and I was happy I could do this with this team.

Noxolo Hlatshwayo

Production Designer

The reason why I chose to study production design is because of the ability to put myself in different characters position and creating a space that speaks more on the character. my lecture says production design should always be done to a point that production design should always done to a point that even without the character and dialogue you and clearly tell what's going on, this has always been my ultimate goal when set designing. working on Iqiniso was awesome, being around creatives of that kind was inspiring

From school plays to performing in front of Gregory Maqoma to being mentored by him, Asanda is continuously working and striving to be the best he can be in what he truly loves and admires.

At Ashley Primary School he was the recipient of the first ever Drama Award (2013) awarded to him because of his performance as Baljeet in the school play The Making of a Legend.

In his latter years in High School it was then he really took to the skies. In 2017 he performed with his drama class at the Playhouse for the Shakespeare Arts Festival, and then in the same year was casted as a supporting in a St. Benedict's school play, Art-Official.

In 2018 St. Benedict's recalled him in need of his talent and passion, this time he was offered a lead role as Scar in a rendition of the famous play and film The Lion King; King Of Africa. That performance left much of the audience in awe of the great talent that this young man possessed. That performance earned him the prestigious Cope Drama Cup at Kloof High School.

Now at AFDA Durban, he has not let his foot of the pedal, only growing better and better. In 2019 he toured KZN being part of a theatrical dance piece, Imvunge YeziNkonkoni by the visionary choreographer Sabelo Cele. At JOMBA! The piece Imvunge YeziNkonkoni came in at 1st place for the JOMBA! Fringe and that opened an opportunity to be mentored by one of South Africa's leading choreographers, Gregory Maqoma. From that mentorship program the goal was to create a dance film, and so they did and it was titled iSabelo.

Asanda has also been involved in film festivals, namely 48hour Film Festival for 2019 & 2020

Looking forward he will again be on the Ster-Kinekor screens in Gateway for AFDA's Annual Graduation Film Festival

The future looks exciting for the young and talented for Asanda Khathi, and more is definitely yet to come.
